Smooch a Pooch at participating local veterinarian offices (see list below). 

1. Purchase a Smooch for $1, $5, or $10
2. Place your animals name on the lips and stick it to the "Smooch a Pooch" board at the vets office.
All proceeds from this event go DIRECTLY towards medical expenses to help our sick shelter animals.

May 1, 2010 - Books, Brushes & Blooms - ECA will host local Writers, Visual Artists, Florists, and Gardeners at Miller Park adjacent to Crystal Street in Downtown East Stroudsburg! 

May 2009 - Be a community volunteer and "Make A Difference." Assist the volunteers from the Shade Tree Commission with the planting of the flowers on Crystal Street. Meet at 4pm on Crystal St., please email Evelyn at ejmi@ptd.net for more info.

May 21st - AWSOM's 2nd annual "In the doghouse day" Corner of 7th and Main street, Stroudsburg. 10 AM to 2 PM Come one, come all to downtown Stroudsburg. Stop by to see who is locked up in the Kennel and check out our AWSOM Animals up for adoption. This is a great event.! More details to follow! 

May 2009 – October 2009 – Starting Wednesday, May 21st and held every Wednesday come to the Dansbury Farmers' Market conveniently located behind the Dansbury Depot Restaurant. Quality produce, great prices, free parking in the municipal lot and best of all- fresh produce grown by your neighbors.

Sunday, July 4, 2010 – The American Freedom Festival, a free community event featuring great food, fabulous entertainment and fun! Included will be live music, roving magicians, raffles, face painting, local organizations, and generally one awesome summer afternoon and evening! As in years past, the event will take place at Dansbury Park on Day Street. 

This years fireworks display will be bigger and better than ever!

July 12th - Great Bear Golf and Country Club - "Fore the Pets" Our second annual golf tournament Shotgun start at 8AM, Breakfast and Lunch!, $110.00 per person , $400.00 discount for foursome. October 10 , 2010 - Crystal Street Block Party!

Businesses will hold sidewalk sales, a DJ and bands will entertain, pumpkins will be offered for sale & painting, scarecrow building will be set up, games will be set up to play, and general merriment will ensue. Come on down and enjoy the free parking in the borough lot behind the Dansbury Depot!
 

December 3, 2010 - Annual Christmas Tree lighting in Miller Park. Join us for seasonal music with the New Approach Singers as we ring in the holiday season.
